Dumarey Group, a family-owned leader in propulsion systems for vehicles and industrial applications, has announced plans to acquire AUMOVIO’s manufacturing site in Mechelen, Belgium.
Under the agreement, Dumarey will take over the plant and its employees, while AUMOVIO retains customer contracts. The site will continue producing AUMOVIO components for a transitional period, during which Dumarey intends to introduce new industrial activities and expand its operations.
The acquisition is subject to Belgian legal requirements, including an ongoing information and consultation phase with the Mechelen plant’s works council, as well as regulatory approvals. Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.
Established in 1971, the Mechelen site employs approximately 300 people and specializes in producing solenoid valves, hydraulic and electronic control units, and wheel speed sensors, primarily for the European market. Dumarey Group views the acquisition as a strategic move to strengthen its European presence and diversify its product portfolio. The Mechelen site’s advanced technical expertise and skilled workforce align well with Dumarey’s multi-industry business model.
