Droste saved by Belgian takeover

post-title

The Dutch producer of, among other things, the Koetjesreep is making a new start.

Droste, the Dutch manufacturer of chocolate pastilles, has been acquired by the Belgian family holding company Pauwels Engineering, which also owns The Belgian Chocolate Group, Caluwé Artisan and LoveChoc, among others.

The takeover came about after Droste encountered financial problems during the corona crisis due to declining export figures and high cocoa prices.

Thanks to the takeover by Pauwels Engineering, the Droste brand will continue to exist and production in Vaassen will soon be resumed.

The current management team will remain on board to ensure continuity. The popular Droste chocolate letters will also be available again soon.
