Dokapi has announced the acquisition of PeppolEDGE, a Walloon specialist in secure on-premise data exchange and Peppol connectivity for compliant electronic invoicing.
This strategic move enhances Dokapi’s Peppol capabilities, positioning the company to accelerate its growth across Europe while expanding its service offerings. The acquisition underscores Dokapi’s commitment to strengthening its role in the evolving digital invoicing landscape.
Originally launched in early 2025 as a spin-off from IxorDocs – a division of digital innovation firm Ixor – Dokapi has spent years refining AI-driven solutions for document processing.
Today, the platform supports over 100,000 companies in managing invoices, purchase orders, payslips, and tax returns, partnering with accountants, social secretariats, and software providers. Notable clients include Doccle, Acerta Securex, Isabel Group, and Belfius.
As a certified Peppol access point, Dokapi already facilitates electronic invoicing for 11.5 percent of affiliated Belgian companies. CEO Roel Verbeeck emphasized Belgium’s leadership in e-invoicing and Dokapi’s mission to provide compliant, scalable solutions amid Europe’s complex regulatory environment.
PeppolEDGE, founded by Mathieu Pasture and Laurence Guiot, brings over two decades of SaaS-based data exchange experience and deep collaboration with Belgian authorities on Peppol implementation. The company specializes in secure, on-premise Peppol connectivity, prioritizing data sovereignty and compliance.
Pasture, a key figure in OpenPeppol’s standards development, highlighted the synergy with Dokapi: “Together, we combine AI innovation and international reach to guide organizations through digital transitions and strategic integrations.”
With expansion plans targeting France and Germany, Dokapi is leveraging PeppolEDGE’s expertise to tap into new markets. Laurence Guiot will lead French market development, while a new hire in Berlin focuses on Germany.
