DKV Mobility, a leading European B2B platform for payment and mobility solutions, has completed the acquisition of Optimile NV, a Belgian e-mobility software provider.
The deal, with undisclosed financial terms, strengthens DKV Mobility’s position in the European e-mobility sector by integrating Optimile’s modular SaaS platform, which supports providers of e-mobility services and charging infrastructure operators. Founded in 2016 and based in Ghent, Optimile offers solutions such as authorization, monitoring, access management, and pan-European roaming for charging points, alongside its consumer-facing brand, Mobiflow.
Sebastian Klauke, CEO of DKV Mobility, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition, stating that e-mobility is a key growth driver for the company. “This acquisition expands our technology and service capabilities, reinforcing our platform strategy and enabling us to better support customers with integrated e-mobility solutions that simplify complexity across the entire value chain,” he said. Sven Mehringer, Managing Director for Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility, highlighted Belgium as one of Europe’s fastest-growing e-mobility markets, noting Optimile’s leadership and deep software expertise as a perfect fit for DKV’s goals.
With Optimile now part of its portfolio, DKV Mobility manages 1.5 million charging cards and tokens, over 260,000 charging points (including 112,000 publicly accessible), and provides access to more than 1.1 million charging points across Europe through its roaming network. The combined energy volume of DKV Mobility’s companies—GreenFlux, Smartlab, and Optimile—reaches approximately 1.4 billion kilowatt-hours, underscoring its growing operational scale. For Optimile, the transaction ensures continuity and unlocks new growth opportunities, accelerating platform development and market expansion. This acquisition marks another milestone in DKV Mobility’s consistent e-mobility strategy, following its 2021 purchase of GreenFlux and a 2024 partnership with Smartlab.
