Deli Home expands in the Benelux with Houtwerf and Distri-Hout

post-title

Deli Home, a leading producer and distributor of sustainable wooden building materials, has strengthened its position in the Benelux.

The company has acquired a 50 percent strategic stake in the Dutch company Houtwerf and is merging its Belgian activities with the Belgian Distri-Hout. This marks an important step in Deli Home’s growth strategy and sustainability ambitions.

Houtwerf and Distri-Hout supply wooden building materials to DIY retailers, wholesalers, and construction companies. Houtwerf is known for its innovative and circular products, such as Powerplex Bio, a plywood panel with bio-based glue and free of harmful substances. Both companies work exclusively with FSC- and PEFC-certified wood, contributing to a more sustainable construction sector.

Deli Home CEO Eugène Sterken is excited about the collaboration: “The expertise and innovative strength of Houtwerf and Distri-Hout perfectly align with our ambition to make sustainable, wood-based solutions more accessible.” Henri Verbeek of Distri-Hout and Pieter Verbeek of Houtwerf also see opportunities for growth and further innovation.

Houtwerf will continue to operate from Zoeterwoude, while Jeroen Lauwers will lead the Belgian merger of Distri-Hout and Deli Home. The focus will be on innovative product development and efficient logistics to better serve customers. With this partnership, the companies reinforce their position as pioneers in circular and sustainable building materials.
