Delaware Belux has acquired ML2Grow, a Belgian specialist in artificial intelligence and machine learning, further reinforcing its position in the fast-growing Belgian AI market.
ML2Grow has delivered AI projects for more than 100 organizations, including innovation initiatives in healthcare at UZ Gent and sustainability-driven projects for industrial players such as DRUMDRUM.
Over the past decade, Delaware has steadily built out its own AI practice, working on advanced projects for clients including Unilin and Bekaert.
Following the transaction, Delaware’s AI team will grow to more than 85 experts, integrating ML2Grow’s capabilities in computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning operations (MLOps) and AI engineering. This scale positions Delaware among the market leaders in Belgium for the application of AI in business processes and enterprise applications.
According to Jan De Bock, Managing Director of Delaware Belux, the acquisition is a key milestone in the group’s AI strategy. He notes that it supports Delaware’s ambition to help organisations unlock the full potential of AI, while also embedding AI more deeply across the company’s own services and solutions.
For ML2Grow, the deal marks the next step in its development. CEO Joeri Ruyssinck describes the integration as a logical evolution for the company, which originated as a spin-off from Ghent University and imec.
By joining forces with Delaware, ML2Grow’s customers gain access to a broader and highly complementary set of AI capabilities, enabling the combined group to address increasingly complex AI adoption challenges.
