Corialis acquires Gutmann Group to strengthen DACH presence and expand product offering.
Corialis, a Belgian-based leader in aluminium systems for windows and doors, has announced the acquisition of Gutmann Group, a German manufacturer specializing in aluminium profile systems for windows, doors, and facades.
This strategic acquisition expands Corialis' footprint in the DACH region and enhances its portfolio with premium aluminium-wood systems and windowsills, catering to the growing demand for sustainable, energy-efficient construction solutions.
Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Belgium, Corialis operates across nine global sites and employs approximately 3,000 people. The company has seen significant growth under the ownership of private equity firms Astorg and CVC Capital Partners, benefiting from the increasing use of aluminium in sustainable architecture due to its durability and recyclability.
Gutmann, based in Weißenburg, Germany, is fully vertically integrated and offers high-quality architectural aluminium systems with a strong focus on sustainability. Its expertise spans extrusion, insulation, painting, and distribution, making it a valuable addition to Corialis' capabilities.
The existing management team at Gutmann will remain in place to ensure a smooth transition and continuity. Gutmann’s operations will continue under its brand name, leveraging the combined strengths of both companies to deliver innovative solutions for the construction industry.
The transaction, which includes Gutmann’s facilities in Weißenburg, is subject to regulatory approval by competition authorities.
