Belgian kitchen builder Bossuyt Kitchen, supplier to Hof van Cleve, The Jane and Denmark’s Noma, changes hands.
Antwerp-based investment firm CIM Ventures has acquired Bossuyt Kitchen from Vybros Capital Partners, the family investment company of the Vande Vyvere clan. Founded in 1926, the Kuurne-based company designs and produces custom stainless-steel kitchens for restaurants, hotels, schools, companies and healthcare institutions.
Despite a strong client list that includes Michelin-starred restaurants Hof van Cleve, Zilte, The Jane, and global names such as Noma, Delhaize, Barco and Callebaut, Bossuyt Kitchen has faced challenges in recent years. The company, which employs 62 people, posted only a small profit of 78,000 euro on nearly 13 million euro turnover last year, following several years of losses.
The kitchen sector has struggled with pandemic disruptions and supply chain issues caused by the war in Ukraine. Together with Vybros, Bossuyt Kitchen implemented efficiency measures, but the transfer to CIM Ventures is meant to ensure long-term stability. CIM Ventures, born from restructuring specialist CIM Capital, focuses on supporting Belgian SMEs with financial or operational difficulties.
Brothers Karl and Steven Bossuyt, third-generation family members, will remain temporarily involved to guarantee a smooth transition. According to CIM, current projects and supplier agreements will continue without interruption, while additional financial and operational resources will support growth.
