Detergents and disinfectants specialist Christeyns reveals acquisitions in Italy, Australia and Denmark.

The Ghent-based multinational, Christeyns, known for its cleaning and disinfection products, announces three acquisitions totaling over 15 million euros in revenue.

Expanding in Australia, Denmark, and Italy, Christeyns strengthens its global position and significantly enhances its product portfolio and customer base.

True Blue Australia
Since July 1, 2024, Christeyns has acquired a majority stake in True Blue Chemicals in Australia. This partnership expands Christeyns' presence in the Asia-Pacific region with local production capacity in New South Wales. In 2023, Christeyns entered a strategic partnership with Fluid Chemicals in New Zealand.

Founded in 1986, True Blue Chemicals is a leading producer of cleaning and hygiene solutions for healthcare, hospitality, education, and industry in Australia. The new joint venture, named True Blue Christeyns, will now also focus on industrial laundries and food processing companies.

"True Blue Christeyns will leverage local production to meet the needs of the Australian market", says Alain Bostoen, CEO of Christeyns. “The joint venture will also provide services and technology developed by our R&D and Engineering departments.”

Allegrini Italy
In Italy, Christeyns strengthens its market position with the acquisition of Allegrini's laundry division. Active since 1945, Allegrini produces professional cleaning and hygiene products for various sectors, including hospitality, carwash, and textile care. This acquisition adds approximately 200 new customers to Christeyns' portfolio, mainly industrial laundries.

"The acquisition of Allegrini’s laundry activities allows us to strengthen our position in Italy, especially in regions with significant tourist potential", says Alain Bostoen.

Jysk Kemi Denmark
The third acquisition of Danish company Jysk Kemi marks a strategic step in Christeyns' international growth in the Scandinavian market. Founded in 1987, Jysk Kemi produces disinfection and cleaning agents.

"The acquisition fits our strategy of internationalization", says Alain Bostoen. "Through organic growth and acquisitions, we aim to grow our Professional Hygiene and Food Hygiene departments. With Jysk Kemi, we can now produce locally in Holstebro and serve the entire Scandinavian market and Finland. Additionally, our portfolio of over 100 eco-certified products aligns well with these markets."
