Cegeka has acquired Lean Projects, a Swiss software company specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365-based ERP solutions for the print and packaging industry.
This strategic move bolsters Cegeka’s industry-specific offerings and advances its international growth ambitions. Together, the companies aim to become a global leader in Microsoft-platform business applications for print and packaging, leveraging Lean Projects’ two decades of expertise in tailoring software to the operational needs of the sector—from packaging printing to labels and flexibles.
The acquisition aligns with Cegeka’s broader strategy to expand its specialized industry solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365, following previous successes in pharma and life sciences. Lean Projects’ team, known for its deep sector knowledge, will remain focused on niche innovation, now backed by Cegeka’s global implementation and support capabilities. Existing clients will experience minimal operational changes, retaining the same solutions and specialists but with the added security of Cegeka’s international scale.
Lean Projects’ leadership, including CEO Andreas Jegerlehner, will stay on, ensuring continuity and expertise. Cegeka plans to further invest in standardizing and innovating the solution to accelerate deployments and address sector-specific challenges. “Joining Cegeka allows us to sustainably expand what we’ve built,” said Jegerlehner, while Stijn Geeroms, Cegeka’s Global VP of Business Solutions, emphasized the combined potential to drive long-term customer success. The deal also marks Cegeka’s first operational presence in Switzerland.
