HR services firm Capenti is strengthening its position in the life sciences sector with the acquisition of HR One Group, a headhunting company specialized in healthcare and biotech recruitment.
Capenti, backed by Belgian private equity firm Kebek, is pursuing a growth strategy focused on acquiring niche HR firms that provide top talent for both permanent and interim executive roles. This latest acquisition follows the company’s earlier purchase of Dutch firm Apollo Executive Search in January.
Founded in 2008 and based in Herent near Leuven, HR One Group is led by Charlotte Peters and Sofie Paeps. The firm is known for recruiting highly educated professionals in fields such as pharmaceuticals, biotech, medtech, and healthtech – including roles in R&D, regulatory affairs, clinical trials, and AI-driven diagnostics.
Despite the acquisition, HR One will continue to operate under its own name but will benefit from access to Capenti’s broader international network. According to recent filings, HR One posted a net profit of 263,000 euros on a gross margin of 715,000 euros in 2024.
“The scientific depth and business acumen of HR One are exactly what this fast-evolving sector needs”, says Capenti CEO Vanessa Delacourt. “We share a long-term vision and entrepreneurial mindset.”
With this acquisition, Capenti continues to build momentum as a specialized HR consolidator across high-demand industries.
