Belgian publisher and production company Borgerhoff & Lamberigts has acquired Koortzz, the well-known talent and speaker agency. The acquisition marks a further expansion of Borgerhoff & Lamberigts' diverse media portfolio, with both companies maintaining their independence and brand identity.
While the day-to-day operations and personal approach at Koortzz will remain unchanged, Borgerhoff & Lamberigts will provide administrative and marketing support, allowing Koortzz to focus on its core mission: representing speakers, writers, and performers. The collaboration also enables a new synergy, as authors from the Borgerhoff & Lamberigts catalogue will now be featured in Koortzz's speaker lineup, helping them transition from page to stage.
This cross-pollination is already yielding new projects with notable Belgian personalities such as Joris Hessels, Koen Schoors, Fleur Van Groningen, Serge Simonart, and Johan Braeckman, among others.
Koortzz, founded in 2011 by Martine Van Autrijve and now co-run with her children Eva and Bavo, has long been a respected name in the Belgian cultural scene. The agency represents a wide range of talent, including Delphine Lecompte, Dimitri Leue, Christophe Busch, and Stijn Meuris, offering services from bookings and promotion to tour management and production.
For Borgerhoff & Lamberigts, this deal is the latest step in a broad expansion strategy that has transformed the company from a non-fiction publisher into a multifaceted media group. Recent acquisitions include academic imprint Owl Press, art publisher MER.Books, and public-sector publisher Politeia. Its production arm, B&L TV, has also gained recognition with hit documentaries and popular series, and recently took a stake in new production company Baldrick.
With the addition of Koortzz, Borgerhoff & Lamberigts continues to position itself as a key player at the intersection of publishing, media production, and cultural representation.
