AG Solution and Sofyne Active Technology merge to form industry 4.0 leader

Antwerp-based AG Solution and French company Sofyne Active Technology have announced a merger, creating SAPHIR, a new European leader in digital transformation for the industrial sector.

The merger, backed by Waterland Private Equity, positions the combined company to drive Industry 4.0 innovations across Europe and beyond.

AG Solution, founded in 2007, and Sofyne Active Technology, established in 2005, both specialize in industrial software integration and digital transformation services. Together, SAPHIR will serve industries such as pharmaceuticals, energy, and luxury goods with cutting-edge solutions, aiming to accelerate growth through both organic expansion and acquisitions.

The new group employs 400 engineers and consultants across 13 countries, with the goal of becoming the leading European Industry 4.0 player by 2030. Waterland, which recently became the majority shareholder of AG Solution, is actively supporting the fusion, marking its third major transaction in Belgium this year.

This strategic partnership is set to offer enhanced automation, operational intelligence, and cybersecurity solutions, positioning SAPHIR at the forefront of the digital industrial revolution.
