Belgian-founded AI startup pleasefix.ai has secured 2.1 million euros in a pre-seed funding round led by Pitchdrive, with participation from Syndicate One, Entrepreneurs First, Transpose and 100IN, alongside several finance industry investors.
The capital will be used to further develop the product, expand the team and drive customer adoption across Europe and the US.
Launched in 2025, the company targets a persistent productivity challenge within finance and strategy teams, where manual tasks such as updating spreadsheets, editing presentations and compiling reports continue to consume significant time despite growing AI adoption.
pleasefix.ai enables users to describe tasks in plain language, after which the software executes them directly within Excel or PowerPoint without requiring additional tools or training.
The company was founded by Belgian entrepreneurs Séverine Nolf and Maxime Lahy, who met while working at McKinsey & Company. After joining the Start it @KBC and Entrepreneurs First accelerators in Paris, the founders relocated to San Francisco to deepen ties with the tech ecosystem and financial sector. Engineering activities are expanding in Brussels, while the company is considering opening a sales office in New York.
pleasefix.ai positions itself as an execution platform designed to eliminate routine work so teams can focus on strategic decision-making. According to the company, its AI can complete tasks in open Excel or PowerPoint files up to ten times faster while maintaining high accuracy and auditability, integrating directly into existing workflows without complex setup.
Looking ahead, the startup aims to become a global execution hub for finance and strategy professionals. Priorities include expanding integrations, scaling the Brussels-based development team and establishing a presence in New York as it seeks to grow its international footprint.
