Belgian paint producer Boss Paints has acquired Pinson Paint, a Dutch paint company operating under the Vink Verf trade name.
All shares of Pinson Paint have been transferred to the Belgian group. The acquisition also includes Zevenboom, an online wholesale platform based in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
Founded over 80 years ago, Boss Paints is a family-owned business with its own retail network under the Colora brand, which also operates stores in the Netherlands.
“We have been active in the South of the Netherlands for more than ten years, but our growth has been gradual”, says Toon Bossuyt, CEO of Boss Paints. “With Vink Verf, we’ve found the ideal partner to strengthen our market position and accelerate expansion.”
Following the acquisition, Rob Vink, CEO of Vink Verf, will assume responsibility for Boss Paints’ commercial operations in the Netherlands. The management team of Boss Paints will also become the management team of Vink Verf. Co-founder Gerard Vink (70) retired at the end of September.
All employees will remain with the company, and the Vink Verf name will be retained. The organization now operates four outlets: in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Dordrecht, and the Colora stores in Uden and Waalwijk.
This transaction marks another significant step in Boss Paints’ growth strategy. Earlier this year, the company also acquired Belly Color, a paint manufacturer based in Wallonia.
