Belgian luxury resale platform Labellov acquires designer Wish Bags

Antwerp-based luxury resale company Labellov has acquired fellow Belgian platform Designer Wish Bags, marking further consolidation in the secondhand luxury fashion market.

Alongside the acquisition, Babs Van de Mierop, formerly of Bain & Company, has been appointed as the new CEO.

Founded in 2012, Labellov specializes in what it calls ‘preloved luxury’, reselling high-end handbags and accessories from brands such as Hermès, Chanel, and Delvaux.

The company achieved 7 million euros in revenue in 2024 and expects to reach 9 million euros in 2025, all while remaining profitable and operating without venture capital.

Earlier this year, investor Cynthia Botton – the wife of Beaulieu heir Anthony De Clerck – led a management buyout and now holds the majority stake in the company. Under her leadership, Labellov aims to accelerate growth in the high-end resale market, with handbags sometimes exceeding 150,000 euros in value.

The acquisition of Designer Wish Bags adds around 1.5 million euros in annual revenue and gives Labellov the largest stock of designer handbags in the Benelux region. The company currently operates boutiques in Antwerp and Knokke, alongside a thriving e-commerce platform, and is now planning to open a third store abroad.
