Belgian investment firm Fortino Capital has partnered with Dutch SaaS company Nétive VMS from Rijswijk in the Netherlands to support its international expansion.

This strategic investment aims to accelerate product innovation and reinforce Nétive’s market position in Belgium, Germany, and the UK. Additionally, industry veteran Mikael Lindmark has been appointed as CEO to lead the company’s next phase of growth.

Strengthening Nétive’s presence in Belgium and beyond
Nétive VMS, a leading provider of Vendor Management Systems (VMS), specializes in cloud-based solutions that help organizations and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) efficiently manage their flexible workforce. With a strong foothold in the Netherlands, Nétive has been steadily expanding across Europe, including Belgium, where demand for streamlined external workforce management solutions continues to grow. The company’s platform manages a total spend exceeding 6 billion euros, underscoring its growing influence in the industry.

Fortino Capital, headquartered in Belgium, has a well-established track record of investing in high-growth B2B software firms across Europe. With a portfolio that includes Belgian companies such as Addactis, VanRoey, Bizzmine, and Efficy CRM, Fortino’s investment in Nétive aligns with its strategy of fostering digital transformation in the region.

New leadership to drive expansion
To spearhead its expansion, Nétive has appointed Mikael Lindmark as CEO. With over two decades of experience in VMS and workforce management, including senior leadership roles at SAP Fieldglass, Lindmark brings deep expertise in scaling SaaS businesses. His appointment is expected to strengthen Nétive’s market presence in the Benelux region and drive further growth in the UK and beyond.

"I am excited to lead Nétive and collaborate with Fortino Capital, a growth-focused investor with strong expertise in the software sector", says Lindmark. "Nétive’s powerful, future-proof platform presents significant opportunities to introduce cutting-edge AI-driven functionalities that will deliver immediate value to our customers."

A future of innovation and growth
Co-founders Patrick Tiessen and Chris Neddermeijer will remain actively involved as shareholders, ensuring continuity in Nétive’s vision and core values. Tiessen emphasizes that Fortino’s support will enable the company to accelerate product development and further establish its leadership in the external workforce management sector.

"Nétive was built on trust, innovation, and independence", says Tiessen. "With Fortino’s backing and Mikael’s leadership, we are well-positioned to scale internationally and continue transforming how organizations manage their contingent workforce."

Fortino Capital’s Investment Director, Toon Smets, highlights Nétive’s strong market position and potential for European expansion. "Nétive has achieved impressive growth over the past 20 years, becoming a leader in the Netherlands and gaining traction across Europe. We share the ambition to solidify its position in the Benelux and drive expansion in the UK and beyond."

With Fortino Capital’s strategic investment and Lindmark at the helm, Nétive VMS is poised for a new era of international growth and innovation.
