Ghent-based HR tech company Talentguide has secured 1.3 million euros in growth capital to support its expansion into the Dutch market and scale its AI-driven skills platform.
The company’s software helps organizations map existing and missing skills, linking them to targeted learning and development paths. By doing so, Talentguide aims to enable more effective workforce planning while supporting internal mobility and long-term employability.
The funding will be used to strengthen the company’s revenue, product, and engineering teams, with a particular focus on hiring software and AI engineers as well as customer success specialists in the Netherlands.
“What we offer with Talentguide is a win-win: we improve employees’ long-term employability while increasing organizational resilience”, says CEO Filip Tack.
The investment comes amid growing concerns about a global talent mismatch that could leave more than 85 million jobs unfilled by 2030. Many companies lack clear insight into the capabilities of their workforce, while rapid automation is reshaping skill requirements faster than job profiles can adapt. This hinders effective reskilling and workforce retention.
Operating from Ghent’s Wintercircus tech hub, Talentguide primarily targets mid-sized and large enterprises. The platform analyzes unstructured company data – such as resumes, job descriptions, evaluations, and internal documentation – to build a skills-based job architecture and assess employee competencies. It also predicts future skill needs and guides workers through AI-generated personal development plans.
Companies including Travvant, MCC Verstraete, Banqup, Robovision, mtech+, and Syntra Bizz already use the platform.
The funding round drew support from investment funds NXT II, Travvant (Partena Professional), Miles Ahead Capital, imec.istart, the founders, and several entrepreneurs, including Ewout Meyns, Koen Handekyn, and Jan Delaere.
Talentguide is targeting annual recurring revenue above 1 million euros and a customer base of 50 to 100 companies by the second half of 2027. In the near term, the startup plans to focus on expansion across Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK.
