Belgian brewer Duvel Moortgat has expanded its U.S. presence by acquiring two prominent beer brands: Stone Brewing and Trumer Pils, according to Belga.
The deal for Stone Brewing involves Firestone Walker Brewing Company, a Duvel Moortgat subsidiary, taking over the brand from Sapporo USA.
While the agreement does not include production facilities, Stone Brewing’s beers will eventually be integrated into Duvel Moortgat’s existing U.S. breweries after a transition period.
Separately, Firestone Walker recently finalized an agreement with The Gambrinus Company to acquire the Trumer Pils brand. Under this deal, Firestone Walker will assume responsibility for producing and selling Trumer Pils in the U.S. market.
The acquisitions further solidify Duvel Moortgat’s footprint in the American craft beer sector, building on its reputation for quality and innovation.
