Azelis, a leading distributor of speciality chemicals and food ingredients, has announced the acquisition of Spanish company Solchem Nature S.L., strengthening its position in Spain’s growing nutraceutical market.
Based in Barcelona, Solchem has been supplying raw materials and premium ingredients for the dietary and nutraceutical sectors since 1994. The company brings a portfolio of innovative products and a customer base of over 250 clients to Azelis.
This acquisition supports Azelis’s strategy to expand its nutraceutical offering across Europe, providing customers with a broader range of sustainable and innovative solutions. For principals, it opens up new distribution opportunities within the Iberian market.
Jose Manuel González, General Manager at Solchem, highlights the shared values between the two companies, calling the partnership “a natural fit.”
Javier Pérez, Managing Director at Azelis Iberia, added that the deal reinforces Azelis’s ambition to unlock the “untapped potential” of the nutraceutical market.
The acquisition reflects Azelis’s commitment to strengthening its footprint in targeted, high-growth sectors across EMEA.
