APK Group has acquired AGBb BV, a road construction and infrastructure specialist previously part of B&R Bouwgroep.
The strategic takeover increases APK Group’s road construction activities by 15 percent and adds a 30-person technical team, addressing the industry’s talent shortage. AGBb, which generates around 8 million euros in annual revenue, will continue to operate as a separate entity based in Arendonk.
The acquisition strengthens APK Group’s market position by combining AGBb’s B2B focus (working with developers and construction firms) with APK’s B2G expertise in public works.
Geographically, AGBb’s strong presence in the Antwerp region complements APK’s existing operations across Belgium.
Gerry Peeters, Operations Director at APK Group, highlighted the deal’s strategic value: "AGBb brings additional expertise, clients, and projects, as well as experienced staff—all critical for our ambitious 20 percent annual growth target."
AGBb will integrate into APK Group’s shared services structure, maintaining its independence while benefiting from APK’s support.
Herman Vaessens, Business Unit Manager of AGBb, emphasized the alignment: "We’re joining a company where road construction is core business, giving us the space to grow further."
This acquisition underscores APK Group’s commitment to sustainable growth in personnel, projects, and geographic reach, solidifying its position as a key player in Belgium’s road construction and infrastructure sector.
