Apheon partners with Belgian IT leader Easi to drive international growth

European private equity firm Apheon has announced a binding partnership with Easi, a leading Belgian provider of proprietary business software and managed IT services.

This collaboration marks the first introduction of institutional capital into Easi’s shareholder base, setting the stage for accelerated growth as the company expands beyond its stronghold in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Easi’s founder, Salvatore Curaba, along with co-CEOs Jean-François Herremans and Thomas Van Eeckhout, and its broad base of employee shareholders, will retain significant ownership and continue leading the company.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Nivelles and Leuven, Easi has grown into a major IT platform serving over 1,500 mid-market and large organizations across Belgium and Luxembourg.

The company operates through two divisions: a Software division centered around its proprietary financial ERP, Adfinity, and a Managed IT division offering cybersecurity, sovereign private cloud, and infrastructure services.

Easi is renowned for its employee ownership model, which has been a cornerstone of its culture since 2012 and has contributed to its recognition as Belgium’s ‘Best Workplace’ for twelve consecutive years.

With Apheon’s support, Easi plans to accelerate its organic growth in Belgium and Luxembourg while expanding internationally. The company will continue investing in its software roadmap, including the development of a cloud-native, AI-enabled next-generation platform, and pursue selective acquisitions to broaden its offerings and geographic reach.

Easi’s leadership will maintain full operational autonomy, with a governance framework that preserves its unique employee ownership model.

Salvatore Curaba, founder of Easi, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “Apheon shares our values and understands the importance of our employee shareholder model.”

Jean-François Herremans and Thomas Van Eeckhout, co-CEOs, added that Apheon’s entrepreneurial mindset and European network make it the ideal partner to support Easi’s next chapter of growth while preserving its distinctive culture.
