Apheon has reached the 1.25 billion euros hard cap for its sixth flagship fund, Apheon MidCap Buyout VI (AMB VI), following strong investor demand.
Including a 50 million euros commitment from the Apheon team and related families, the total fund size amounts to 1.3 billion euros. The fund was significantly oversubscribed and fully allocated within eight months.
AMB VI attracted strong backing from Apheon’s existing limited partners and added around 40 new institutional investors, further diversifying its LP base by geography and investor type.
The investor group now spans Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East, including pension funds, insurers, asset managers, foundations, family offices and entrepreneurs.
With the closing of AMB VI, Apheon’s assets under management have reached 4.5 billion euros. The fund will continue Apheon’s long-standing strategy of majority buyouts in lower mid-market companies, focusing on 10–25 million euros EBITDA businesses in Core Europe across healthcare, services, consumer and niche industrials. The fund begins deployment with an active investment pipeline.
Apheon was advised on the fundraising by Evercore Private Funds Group, alongside Houlihan Lokey Capital Solutions Group and legal advisors.
