Pan-European private equity firm Apheon has acquired a majority stake in Golmar Italia S.p.A., a leading Italian distributor of professional cleaning and hygiene products.

The Golè family, which founded the company in 1972, will remain minority shareholders, continuing to support the business alongside Apheon and CEO Didier Tisserand.

Headquartered in Milan, Golmar supplies a wide range of professional cleaning and hygiene products – from detergents and disinfectants to protective equipment and paper goods –primarily serving small businesses across Italy. The company operates through a nationwide sales network and a robust logistics platform, catering to clients in the industrial, medical, and hospitality sectors.

Apheon plans to accelerate Golmar’s growth through both organic expansion and a buy-and-build strategy aimed at consolidating the fragmented Italian distribution market. The firm also intends to strengthen Golmar’s product portfolio with innovative and sustainable solutions.

“This partnership marks an exciting milestone for Golmar”, says CEO Didier Tisserand. “With Apheon’s support, we can accelerate our growth, diversify our offering, and enhance our service to clients throughout Italy.”

Apheon Partner Riccardo Collini highlights Golmar’s “distinctive business model and trusted brand”, adding that the firm aims to unlock value through “organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions.”

Chairman Bruno Golè said the family’s continued investment reaffirms its “full confidence in Golmar’s future”, noting that the partnership will help the company “build on its heritage and reinforce its leadership in the Italian market.”

Founded in 2005, Apheon manages around 3 billion euros in assets and has invested in about 40 companies across Europe.
