Conscia Netherlands has taken its first step into the Belgian market by acquiring Silta.
This move marks the launch of Conscia Belgium and strengthens Conscia’s presence across the Benelux region, enabling it to support clients in network infrastructure, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and managed services.
Silta, originally part of Ferranti Computer Systems (founded in Antwerp in 1976), has been operating independently since 2018. The company is known for its advanced network infrastructure, cloud technologies, and managed security services. As a trusted partner of Cisco, Microsoft, Dell EMC, and Veeam, Silta’s expertise aligns seamlessly with Conscia’s offerings.
“Expanding into Belgium has been a long-standing goal for Conscia”, says Marcel Cappetti, Managing Director of Conscia Netherlands. “We sought a partner that not only complements our services but also shares our commitment to reliability and deep IT expertise. Silta’s strong reputation among Belgian clients in the public, industrial, and service sectors made them the ideal match. Together, we aim to combine agility with scale, creating a compelling proposition in a market dominated by a mix of large players and smaller providers.”
“For years, Silta has distinguished itself as a strategic IT partner in Flanders, excelling in managed services, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions”, adds Gunter Van de Cauter, Sales Director at Silta. “Joining forces with Conscia allows us to grow further, expand our impact, and offer even greater value to our clients and employees.”
Effective immediately, Silta will operate as Conscia Belgium. All employees will remain with the company, collaborating closely with their Dutch counterparts to share knowledge and support clients. Current Silta leaders, Gunter Van de Cauter and Ronnie Dibbaut, will continue to lead the organization while joining the management team of the newly established Benelux group.
