Altix, the Dutch private equity platform democratizing access to private equity investments, has closed its third portfolio fund, Alt.3, raising 140 million euros from over 450 investors far exceeding its 100 million euros target.
This milestone more than doubles the firm’s total assets under management to 280 million euros in just one year. Notably, Alt.3 marks Altix’s first cross-border success, with a significant portion of investors hailing from Belgium, where the firm recently established a local office.
The rapid growth of Altix is reflected not only in its expanding investor base – now exceeding 700 – but also in its team, which has grown from 10 to 17 private equity specialists in the past year.
“Our mission is to redefine private equity investing by lowering barriers, offering curated diversification, and aligning with the needs of retail investors”, said Cesco van der Vliet, co-founder of Altix. “Alt.3’s success proves there’s a growing appetite for accessible, transparent private equity opportunities.”
Alt.3 focuses on a diversified portfolio of 10 European private equity funds, targeting profitable mid-market companies with strong growth potential. This structure provides exposure to over 120 businesses across technology, healthcare, and business services.
Van der Vliet noted, “We’re seeing increased interest from entrepreneurs and private investors seeking to diversify their portfolios. This trend is expected to continue with the upcoming launch of Alt.4.”
Belgium has been a key driver of Alt.3’s growth, with the new Brussels office playing a pivotal role in surpassing fundraising targets.
Manfred Krcmar, Managing Partner and founder of Altix Belgium, observed, “Belgian investors are increasingly looking beyond traditional asset classes, and private equity is gaining traction. Alt.3’s strong inflows reflect this shift.”
Altix, founded in 2022, now manages 280 million euros in private equity funds, serving a community of over 700 investors and partnering with a network of more than 700 funds.
