All Seas Capital backs Sereni’s European expansion in funeral services

All Seas Capital, a pan-European private capital fund from London, has invested in Sereni, a leading funeral services platform across Belgium, Germany, and Poland.

The partnership will fuel Sereni’s buy-and-build strategy, accelerating consolidation in the fragmented European funeral market and supporting geographic expansion.

Founded in 2016, Sereni modernizes funeral services by combining local entrepreneurship with institutionalized support, offering empathy-driven solutions to grieving families.

The company has built a reputation for quality, innovation, and scalability, integrating high-quality local operators into a unified platform. Its proven growth model – acquiring and scaling regional providers – positions Sereni as a resilient player in a stable, growing sector.

Sereni’s experienced management team, led by Chairman Caspar Berendsen, has a strong track record in complex acquisitions and integrations. All Seas Capital will provide capital and board-level expertise to accelerate expansion, with Cristobal Cuart (Co-Managing Partner) and Charlie Budenberg (Managing Director) joining Sereni’s board. "All Seas’ focus on buy-and-build strategies makes them an ideal partner", said Berendsen, highlighting their alignment with Sereni’s growth ambitions.

"Sereni’s essential social service and scalable platform present significant opportunities", added Budenberg. All Seas’ flexible, non-control capital will support Sereni’s next phase, leveraging its proven integration approach to consolidate markets and expand organically. The partnership marks a key step in Sereni’s mission to redefine funeral services across Europe.
