Alistar, a leading European technology partner specializing in business applications, data, AI, and ICT, has announced a dual strategic expansion to strengthen its market position.
The company with its headoffice in Ghent has acquired XTRM development, a Microsoft 365 service provider known for its expertise in digital workplaces and Microsoft Copilot, and entered into a partnership with Riviq, a data science and AI specialist.
These moves expand Alistar’s team to over 830 employees across Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, while pushing annual revenue beyond 144 million euros.
The collaboration with Riviq enhances Alistar’s capabilities in AI, data science, and business intelligence. Riviq’s team of data scientists helps organizations transform raw data into actionable insights and future-proof opportunities.
“To embed AI structurally into business processes, you need data experts who understand both technology and business – something Alistar and Riviq share”, said Jan Hofman, CEO of Alistar.
Robert Mansour, Managing Partner of Riviq, added, “As a certified Microsoft Solution Partner in Data & AI, we deliver end-to-end managed services. This partnership will strengthen our Microsoft consultancy and enable 24/7 secure management for our clients.”
Alistar’s acquisition of XTRM development further deepens its Microsoft 365 and digital workplace expertise. XTRM development is renowned for helping organizations optimize their digital environments using Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
“XTRM’s technical strength aligns perfectly with our vision”, Hofman noted. “Together, we’ll create solutions where people, data, and technology drive growth.” Matthijs Veenendaal of XTRM development echoed this sentiment: “From our first conversation, the cultural fit was clear. Combining our expertise will allow us to better guide clients through digital transformation.”
With these additions, Alistar is positioned to help more organizations become ‘Frontier Firms’ – businesses where AI is no longer experimental but a core component of operations and decision-making. The expanded capabilities will enable Alistar to deliver integrated, future-ready solutions across data, AI, and Microsoft technologies.
