Ghent-based technology services business, Alistar, is taking over TCOG, a leading Microsoft partner in the Belgium, Netherlands and India markets.
With the acquisition of TCOG, Alistar will further expand its omnichannel solutions, as well as its international presence. “With TCOG, we are bringing in deep expertise to prepare the fashion and retail industry for the AI revolution,” says Alistar CEO Jan Hofman.
TCOG, a Diamond LS Retail Partner and Trusted Microsoft ERP partner, offers the necessary technology, guidance, and insights for fashion companies and retailers to scale amidst growing customer expectations and increasingly complex supply chains. “The Alistar AI Benchmark 2026 shows that confidence in AI is high, but the step towards concrete results remains difficult,” Jan explains.
The report shows that 87 percent see AI as a huge opportunity, but only 6 percent have truly embedded it into their processes. “By combining TCOG’s retail and supply chain knowledge with our data and AI capabilities, we help these companies deploy AI reliably: from sharper forecasting to greater control over all business processes,” adds Jan.
Alistar was founded in 1999 – a big year for consumer technology, internet culture and hardware engineering in general, with the introduction of the first Wi-Fi standard. The company helps clients streamline business operations and accelerate growth with digital solutions, usually including Microsoft.
“Especially in the face of volatile demand, rapidly changing collections and complex supply chains across multiple channels, AI can make the difference in forecasting, inventory management and assortment management, provided there is a reliable data foundation and industry expertise,” the company said in a statement.
Alistar has made several significant acquisitions in recent years, accelerated by additional backing from investment firm Capital A in 2022. “To embed AI structurally into business processes, you need data experts who understand both technology and business,” says Jan.
