The shareholders of the oil tanker shipping company Euronav approve the takeover of CMB.Tech.

The acquisition of CMB.Tech was approved by 99.96 percent of Euronav shareholders. Euronav will pay 1.15 billion dollars for CMB.Tech, which specializes in hydrogen projects for shipping and industry.
With the acquisition of CMB.Tech, the Saverys family, the largest shareholder with 52 percent of the shares, wants to diversify the company and make it more sustainable. As a result of the transaction, the company will change its name: the group will be called CMB.Tech, Euronav will remain the name of the tanker division.
