Belgian food company What’s Cooking? has finalized the acquisition of Sveltic, a French producer of fresh and frozen ready meals. The acquisition strengthens What’s Cooking?'s product range and aligns with its growth strategy.
Sveltic, formerly part of the Mousquetaires group (Intermarché and Netto retail stores), operates near Rennes and generates an annual turnover of approximately 55 million euros, with a normalized EBITDA of around 4 million euros in 2024.
“We are delighted to welcome the Sveltic team to our family and look forward to growing together”, says Piet Sanders, CEO of What’s Cooking?. “This acquisition allows us to expand our offering with Sveltic’s delicious products while continuing our partnership with Intermarché and other customers.”
The transaction, valued at 29 million euros on a cash-free and debt-free basis, has been fully settled in cash. It is expected to contribute immediately to What’s Cooking?'s EBITDA.
This acquisition reinforces What’s Cooking?'s presence in the ready-meal sector and opens new growth opportunities in the European market.
