Infrastructure investor TINC, listed on Euronext Brussels, has announced a 61 million euros investment in Project Mufasa, one of the largest battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the EU.
The project is located at North Sea Port Vlissingen, a key renewable energy hub in the Netherlands, and replaces a former coal power plant with direct access to TenneT’s high-voltage grid.
This investment plays a crucial role in strengthening the country's energy infrastructure and supporting the transition to renewable energy.
“We are excited to partner with Lion Storage, Macquarie, and Return investors on this groundbreaking project for the Dutch energy transition”, says Stéphanie Dobbelaere, Executive Director of TINC. “This investment aligns with TINC’s mission to contribute to the infrastructure of the future while creating value for our shareholders.”
TINC will finance the investment through its 200 million euros credit facility, further solidifying its commitment to sustainable infrastructure.
