Timefold secures 13 million dollars to meet AI-driven demand for scheduling APIs

post-title

Timefold, a developer platform for vehicle routing and shift scheduling APIs, has closed a 13 million euros Series A round led by Alstin Capital, with Kompas VC and existing backers Lakestar and Smartfin.

The funding follows a year of 4x revenue growth in 2025, as enterprises like NEC Software Solutions, CBRE, Lufthansa, and Subaru adopted its APIs for mission-critical scheduling.

The investment will accelerate Timefold’s US expansion and platform development. The company enables software teams to integrate enterprise-grade scheduling optimization, addressing the limitations of AI-generated schedules with deterministic algorithms. Its solutions automate complex decisions, from technician assignments to real-time shift adjustments, in high-stakes environments like field service.

Timefold’s impact is tangible: a global real estate firm cut drive time by 33 percent and travel distance by 43 percent, while a US retailer reduced a 10-week scheduling process to 10 minutes. Customers such as NEC Software Solutions, CBRE, and Orange Telecom rely on Timefold to enhance profitability, customer experience, and workforce efficiency.

“Schedules run the world, and optimization is foundational in the AI era”, said CEO Maarten Vandenbroucke. Alstin Capital’s Alexander Meyer-Scharenberg added, “Timefold’s modular products make deep optimization accessible to any enterprise, without needing a team of mathematicians.”
