The merger underscores both companies’ shared commitment to innovation, long-term value creation, and sustainable growth in industrial automation.
Belgian industrial group TG-Group has acquired Swiss robotics specialist Pick Place, a move that significantly bolsters its expertise in packaging solutions, robotics, and industrial automation.
This acquisition, following Waterland’s strategic investment in TG-Group in April 2025, aligns with the group’s ongoing growth strategy to integrate complementary capabilities in packaging technology, robotics, and smart automation under a unified ecosystem.
The merger combines TG-Group’s established reputation – through subsidiaries like TG-Packaging, Entrec, Frematt, and A-tec – in end-to-end solutions for buffering, input systems, and industrial automation with Pick Place’s deep expertise in high-speed delta robotics, vision technology, and AI-driven automation for packaging and production lines, particularly in the food industry.
Together, the companies will offer clients a more comprehensive range of services, including advanced line integration, 24/7 support, and spare parts management.
For manufacturers, this acquisition means access to a broader suite of automation solutions through a single partner. TG-Group and Pick Place will support production companies at every stage of their automation journey, from input systems to advanced robotic applications and packaging machinery. The integrated approach aims to boost production capacity, enhance flexibility, and accelerate the adoption of new technologies, with a strong focus on the food sector.
Pick Place will retain its existing team, leadership, and entrepreneurial culture, with founders Christian Vouillamoz and Denise Sivete remaining as shareholders and actively involved in the company’s development.
