Belgian investor Marc Coucke’s Alychlo will acquire a 50 percent stake in a newly formed indoor-snow group created through the merger of Dutch SnowWorld and UK-based Snowcentres. The other half will be held by Snowcentres’ existing shareholders.
The combined company will operate twelve indoor winter-sport locations across five countries (NL, UK, DE, BE, FR), welcoming around 4.5 million visitors annually and generating approximately 120 million euros in revenue. The headquarters will be based in Roosendaal.
SnowWorld CEO Wim Hubrechtsen calls the merger a logical next step in the group’s growth strategy. SnowWorld currently operates five Dutch sites, plus venues in Antwerp and Amnéville (FR).
