American legal giant LexisNexis announced the planned acquisition of Henchman.
The Ghent software company Henchman is bought by LexisNexis, known for the legal database of the same name.
Both companies announced this in a press release on Monday.
‘Together, our teams will rapidly address a top customer request: the need for easily searchable internal firm and corporation data in combination with LexisNexis content and AI solutions’, write the founders of Henchman on their company website.
‘The collaboration will serve as a tremendous catalyst for LexisNexis to deliver a personalized generative AI experience and better serve customers through data enrichment. Henchman’s core product functionality will be available to existing and new customers. LexisNexis has immediate plans to utilize Henchman technology with Lexis+ AI as well as Lexis ® Create, the generative AI solution for drafting in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Copilot’, the founders conclude.
