From 1 October 2026, Horsum (part of Vandelanotte) will welcome the Smithii team to its Antwerp offices.

Smithii adds a second office to a corridor Horsum has singled out for growth, building on the wider network of offices its parent company already runs across Flanders. Horsum partner and consultant of strategic business solutions at Vandelanotte, Frederik Arnauw, explains in a statement that their ambition is to develop a strong regional hub on the Antwer–Brussels axis that supports organisations in their digital transformation and making better use of data, reporting, insights and artificial intelligence.

“Technology is never an end in itself for us. It must start from what an organisation does, where it wants to go and where it can improve.”

With Smithii’s strong reputation in data analysis, management reporting and business intelligence, the group is now well-positioned to do just this. “Looking back on the past five years, I am proud of what we have built with the team: working closely with numerous clients to help them turn their data into actionable insights and concrete actions,” Smithii co-founder and partner Michiel Van Duppen shares, emphasising that this is and remains the core of what the company does.

“By joining forces with Horsum, we bring that experience together with broader expertise in digital transformation,” the statement by Vandelanotte reads. “We look forward to working with the Smithii and Horsum teams to continue building digital solutions that drive businesses forward.”

The company has already started working on the regional hub, with its first recruitment for the new office already underway. Michiel and co-founder Sven Verbiest will also stay on board, together with their colleagues.

“With this step, we can now serve our customers from a broader context, with the expertise of both Horsum and the entire Vandelanotte group,” Michiel says. “In addition to our strength in data and reporting, we can also draw on the expertise in digital transformation within the group, without sacrificing the commitment they have come to expect from us.”
