Gimv sells majority stake in ALT Technologies to CCL Industries

post-title

Investment firm Gimv has agreed to sell its majority stake in ALT Technologies to CCL Industries, the world’s largest label producer. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

ALT Technologies is a global converting specialist that produces die-cut, self-adhesive and printed components for the automotive sector and other durable goods industries. During Gimv’s ownership, the company strengthened its position as a trusted supplier to the global automotive market, expanding its portfolio of occupant-safety components, labels and other functional parts.

Under Gimv’s partnership, ALT also broadened its international footprint by adding production capacity in Europe and Asia, as well as establishing a new plant to serve the American market. According to Gimv, this growth transformed ALT into a global specialist in engineered labels and occupant-safety solutions.

For CCL Industries, ALT will become part of its Automotive, Electronics & Durables division (CCL Design), further enhancing its capabilities in long-life, high-performance labeling and functional products for global manufacturers.

Gimv said the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on its most recently reported net asset value per share or on its liquidity. No additional financial details were disclosed.
