Gimv has signed an agreement to acquire Groupe Cap Vert from Ambienta, partnering with CEO Eric Girot and the management team.
The deal aims to accelerate Cap Vert’s growth, strengthen its multi-specialist expertise, and solidify its position as a leader in France and across Europe. Founded in 1984, Cap Vert is France’s top provider of critical tree and vegetation management services, offering a unique portfolio that includes urban tree pruning, ecological engineering, and infrastructure vegetation management.
The company’s success is built on a multi-specialist platform model, tailored to meet the specific needs of local authorities, infrastructure operators, and private-sector clients.
With nearly 60 branches nationwide and over 1,200 employees, Cap Vert has expanded through strategic acquisitions and organic growth, achieving nearly 180 million euros in revenue. Its expertise in ecological engineering and climate-adaptive solutions has positioned it as a key player in a market driven by urban greening and biodiversity conservation.
Gimv’s investment will provide Cap Vert with the capital and strategic support needed to further expand its services and geographic reach. The transaction aligns with Gimv’s strategy of investing in high-conviction, large-scale platforms.
