Ghent AI startup Tekst secures 11.5 million euros to automate office work

post-title

Ghent-based AI startup Tekst has raised 11.5 million euros in a Series A funding round led by US venture capital firm Elephant, with additional backing from its incubator, Entourage.

The company, founded under the startup studio of former Showpad CEO Pieterjan Bouten, helps businesses map out their workflows so AI agents can take over repetitive tasks.

Launched commercially just two years ago, Tekst addresses a key challenge: many companies struggle not with AI itself, but with identifying which processes to automate. According to founder Wouter Janssen, critical workflows are often undocumented—scattered across emails, PDFs, or employees’ knowledge—rather than in formal manuals.

With this investment, Tekst aims to bridge that gap, enabling smoother AI adoption in everyday business operations. The funding underscores growing confidence in AI-driven efficiency tools.
