Fremman Capital has signed an agreement to acquire Incendin, a Belgian-based European leader in sustainable fire-protection solutions, from Straco.

Incendin specializes in environmentally responsible fire-fighting and flame-retardant formulations, serving industrial, commercial, and safety-critical applications across Europe, North America, and Asia.

The company is renowned for pioneering Europe’s first fluor-free fire-fighting agent and holds a leading market position with a portfolio of proprietary technologies.

With over 25 years of expertise and a team of 145+ professionals, Incendin operates specialized manufacturing, R&D, and testing facilities in Belgium, Italy, Germany, and the UK.

The company has achieved strong growth under Straco’s ownership, completing six acquisitions in the past decade, including the 2024 purchase of ProPHOS Chemicals in Italy.

Its success is driven by deep regulatory knowledge, long-standing customer relationships, and resilient end markets supported by mandatory replacement cycles and rising fire-safety awareness.

Fremman Capital plans to accelerate Incendin’s growth by strengthening its European leadership, expanding its innovative product portfolio, scaling internationally – particularly in the U.S. – and pursuing targeted M&A.

Olivier de Vregille, Founding Partner at Fremman, emphasized Incendin’s alignment with their investment strategy: "Incendin is a European champion in a regulation-driven sector, built on proprietary formulations and a culture of innovation. We see a compelling opportunity to reinforce its position as a reference partner for sustainable fire-protection."

Tom Van Gyseghem, CEO of Incendin, expressed gratitude to Straco for its support and excitement about partnering with Fremman: "Their international reach and experience in scaling mid-market businesses will be invaluable as we expand our footprint and innovate to meet the growing demand for safer, cleaner fire-protection solutions."

Straco’s Maarten Peers added that the partnership had successfully built Incendin into a European leader, and wished the team well in its next chapter.
