Belgian private equity firm Fortino Ventures has invested in two B2B SaaS & AI companies, Birdsview and Polysense.
On 8 and 9 July, 2026, Fortino Ventures announced it would back two new businesses: Birdsview (together with Newion) and Polysense (together with 100IN, Felix Capital, Syndicate One, and more private investors).
Focusing on pre-seed to Series A investments in the B2B SaaS and AI industries, Fortino Ventures provides funding as well as operational expertise and a vast network of EU partners to help founders accelerate their scaling ambitions.
Both businesses now have the seed funding and support they need to continue broadening their tech capabilities.
Reducing food manufacturing waste with M&A
Polysense will use its €10.7 million funding to develop its AI-powered software for waste reduction and yield optimisation in food manufacturing, as food production faces a structural trade-off between rigid automation that can’t adapt to high-mix lines and manual inspection that doesn’t scale.
“Polysense turns waste reduction and yield optimisation into a software problem, not a hardware one,” Fortino Ventures said in a statement, adding that its demonstrated success made the choice to invest easy.
“Most vision systems need months of labelled data before they’re useful. Polysense’s synthetic-data engine skips that step, which is why customers call it a step change, not an upgrade,” added partner Filip Van Innis.
Additionally, Polysense has proof of scalability, having grown from one to 26 units at a single site with a top global partner, as well as validated ROI at other live accounts. It has also attracted several angels, including Peter Hinssen and the TechWolf founders, Andreas De Neve, Jeroen van Hautte and Mikaël Wornoo (amongst many others).
“[We’re] thrilled to support Yarne De Munck, Jarne Bogaert, Lucas Van Dijck and the team in their global ambitions,” Fortino Ventures shared.
Pursuing a $50 billion market through M&A
Birdsview will use its €2.5 million in funding to pursue the $50 billion customer retention market for online brands such as Lush, Atletica, and 4mybaby. “Birdsview’s system of agents empowers online retailers with a revenue generator on autopilot, making legacy SaaS and agency services redundant,” said Fortino Ventures partner Wouter Goossens.
Additionally, the company states that Birdsview’s digital worker, Avys, understands every product and each customer’s purchase behaviour and uses this knowledge to automate hyperpersonalised retention campaigns, which have proven significantly better than traditional approaches.
“Looking forward to working with Ozan Brochwitz-Tuerker, Tim Kuesters and Razvan Dinicut, whose background in data science and AI engineering for retail makes them the perfect team to build a world-class company in this space,” Wouter added.
