Finhouse raises 55 million euros in debut round, shakes up Belgian private equity scene

post-title

Belgian investment firm Finhouse has raised 55 million euros in its first fundraising round, far exceeding its initial target of 25 million euros. The capital was secured from 327 individual investors, marking a groundbreaking moment in the country’s private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) landscape.

Founded in 2024 by Thomas Guenter, Finhouse operates as a fund of funds, meaning it invests in top-tier PE and VC funds around the world instead of directly into companies.

Its Finhouse Global Fund is the first of its kind in Belgium, offering access to exclusive global private market investments starting from just 100,000 euros – a dramatic reduction from the typical 1 million euros entry point.

The fund promises:

• Lower fees, starting at an average of 0.68 percent annually on committed capital.

• Broad diversification, with 10 percent of investments in Asia, and 45 percent each in Europe and the US.

• Access to top global funds, such as 6 Degrees, Fortino, Tioga, Stormbreaker, and Apollo.

Finhouse’s lean and innovative model has already disrupted the industry with its accessible structure and transparent fee model. Remarkably, the firm has achieved this without any marketing spend, relying solely on word-of-mouth and direct investor engagement.

Thanks to the strong demand, Finhouse has raised its long-term fundraising goal from 100 million euros to 150 million euros by 2027, with a vision to manage 1 billion euros over the next six years.

Incorporated as a tax-optimized ‘private privak’, the fund benefits from favorable tax treatment, with no capital gains tax, securities tax, or stock exchange tax applicable – making it especially appealing to both private and corporate investors.

Finhouse also benefits from a strong advisory network, including experts from Argo Law, Berquin Notarissen, and BDO, and counts many entrepreneurs and finance professionals among its investors.

Founder Thomas Guenter – a former BCG consultant and bestselling finance author – was recently named to Forbes Europe’s 30 Under 30 for his impact on financial accessibility and innovation in private investing.

“We don’t need ten team members, just ten good funds”, says Guenter, emphasizing Finhouse’s mission to democratize access to elite private investments.
