Dutch IT group Odin Groep has strengthened its presence in the Belgian market with the acquisition of Assyst Europe, an IT services provider based in Waals-Brabant. The move is part of Odin’s strategy to expand internationally while maintaining a strong local presence.
Assyst Europe, founded in 2005 and employing around 20 people, specializes in secure and modern IT solutions, including workplace services, cybersecurity, and Microsoft cloud offerings. The company’s regional expertise enhances Odin Groep’s Belgian footprint, particularly through its subsidiary Previder.
This is Odin’s second major step in Belgium following the earlier acquisition of 2invision in Herentals. With Assyst Europe, Odin gains access to the economically strategic Brussels region, where it previously had limited activity.
“Assyst Europe is a valuable addition to our group”, says Arno Witvliet, CEO of Odin Groep. “Their cloud and cybersecurity expertise aligns perfectly with Previder’s services. This acquisition supports our ambition to grow internationally while staying rooted in local markets.”
Farid Assal, founder and Managing Director of Assyst Europe, said joining Odin and Previder will open new opportunities: “We share the same values and customer-first mindset. This step allows us to keep our focus on core IT services while gaining access to a broader network and resources.”
Customers of Assyst Europe will continue to work with their trusted contacts, but now benefit from Previder’s broader service portfolio, combining local engagement with the scale of an international IT provider.
