Delen Private Bank has strengthened its presence in the Netherlands with the acquisition of Utrecht-based wealth manager Petram & Co.
This move increases Delen’s managed assets in the country to approximately 3.75 billion euros and aligns with its ambition to become a leading private banking and wealth management player in the Dutch market.
A strategic step in Delen’s growth ambitions
Delen Private Bank reached an agreement with the shareholders of Petram & Co. to acquire 100 percent of the company. The acquisition is part of Delen’s broader Dutch expansion strategy, which began in 2016 with the acquisition of Oyens & Van Eeghen, followed by Nobel Vermogensbeheer in 2019, Groenstate Vermogensbeheer in 2023, and Puur Beleggen and Box Consultants in 2024.
Strengthening market position and service offering
Frederik Kalff, Director of Delen Private Bank Netherlands, emphasized the strategic importance of the deal: “We are proud to join forces with Petram, a highly regarded boutique wealth manager. Petram’s expertise in discretionary wealth management aligns seamlessly with our philosophy, services, and client base. This acquisition expands our reach in central Netherlands and supports our goal of achieving national coverage, particularly in urban areas. Thanks to acquisitions, organic growth, and market developments, our managed assets in the Netherlands have grown to 3.75 billion euros in under a decade. Further acquisitions remain an option.”
Enhancing client services and future readiness
Following the acquisition, Petram’s team will operate under the Delen Private Bank name. Clients will retain their existing points of contact while gaining access to an expanded range of services, including credit solutions and financial & estate planning.
The transaction is expected to be finalized later this year, pending regulatory approval from authorities in the Netherlands and Belgium.
