Partly due to the COVID pandemic, the company has faced financial difficulties in recent years.
Alychlo, the investment vehicle of entrepreneur Marc Coucke, and investment company and ‘rescue specialist’ CIM Capital take over the Zoute Grand Prix, an organizer of exclusive classic car and sports car events from Knokke-Heist.
For years, the ZOUTE GRAND PRIX has been an absolute reference in Europe. The first rally was organized in Knokke-Heist in 2010 and quickly grew into one of the most prestigious rallies in Europe.
Besides the rally, the ZOUTE GRAND PRIX has evolved into a unique event where all renowned car brands are present and where the largest car auction in Europe has been held for many years. The event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually from both home and abroad and is the most important event of the year for Knokke-Heist.
Partly due to the COVID pandemic, the company has faced financial difficulties in recent years. During a successful GRP (judicial reorganization procedure), more than 90 percent of creditors agreed to the recovery plan. Zoute Grand Prix now comes under the leadership of the new shareholders, CIM Capital and Alychlo. They guarantee the continuity and further expansion of the company.
