Belgian Sticomax acquires Dutch ICS Spiral Freezers

post-title

Belgian machine-building group Sticomax has acquired ICS Spiral Freezers, a Dutch specialist in spiral freezers, coolers, and proofing towers.

This marks the fifth Dutch company to join Sticomax in just over two years. Headquartered in Dordrecht, ICS develops and manufactures high-end freezing and cooling systems tailored for industrial bakeries and food producers.

ICS Spiral Freezers offers custom-built installations, from compact units to large-scale systems up to 10 meters high, with capacities reaching 100,000 croissants per hour. The acquisition strengthens ICS’s technological position and supports its international growth plans within the Sticomax group.

Sticomax, based in Staden, Belgium, focuses on integrating complete production lines for the global food industry.

ICS’s energy-efficient, hygienic systems – featuring horizontal airflow and integrated cleaning-in-place technology – complement Sticomax’s existing portfolio, enhancing food safety and production stability.

ICS will retain its independent organization, with its current management team – Wilfred Wander, Isard Dubois, and Alex van der Ree – remaining in place.

The alignment of technologies and markets will enable ICS to accelerate growth and provide customers with more integrated solutions as Sticomax expands its role as an international process integrator.
