Genk-based software company Aspect Analytics has raised 10 million euros in an oversubscribed Series A funding round to accelerate its international expansion and strengthen its position in spatial biology data analysis.
Aspect Analytics secures 10 million euros to drive global expansion in spatial biology software. The round was led by PMV and Capricorn Partners’ Healthtech Fund II, with participation from existing investors including Heran Partners, Gemma Frisius Fund, and KU Leuven.
The funding will support further development of the company’s Weave platform, which integrates data from multiple spatial technologies to deliver large-scale, multi-omic insights for pharmaceutical and academic researchers.
Alongside the investment, Aspect Analytics announced a leadership transition. Co-founder Marc Claesen will move from CEO to Chief Technology Officer, focusing on advancing the firm’s AI-driven analytics, while Steven Verhoeven steps in as Chief Executive Officer, bringing experience in scaling global life sciences and diagnostics companies.
“Spatial biology is generating massive amounts of data, but turning it into actionable insights is where the true value lies”, Claesen said. Verhoeven added that the new funding will help the company “scale its impact in drug discovery” and expand globally.
Aspect Analytics’ software is used to analyze complex cellular environments at scale, helping researchers uncover drug mechanisms, identify new therapeutic targets, and optimize clinical trials.
