Antwerp law firm PKF Bofidi Legal acquires management consulting firm Lexcom to further expand its presence and capabilities in the Belgian legal profession.
Partner Tim Fransen explains that PKF BOFIDI Legal buying Lexcom will broaden its corporate law services and enable it to handle more complex litigation cases, completely in-house. Lexcom, which specialises in corporate and business law, assists its clients with both business contracts and dispute resolution, including court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
“We are currently seeing the first tentative steps towards a consolidation movement in the Belgian legal profession. By joining forces, we can continue to invest in specialised expertise, new technologies, and high-quality service,” shares fellow PKF BOFIDI Legal partner Christophe Piette. “For us, therefore, this is not an end point, but the beginning of a broader story.”
The nine Lexcom employees joined the PKF Bofidi Legal Ghent office on 1 July, bringing the organisation’s total headcount up to 34. “The new colleagues bring years of experience, and there was a clear cultural match from the very first conversations – that was an absolute prerequisite for us,” Tim says. “Together, we can offer our clients an even more comprehensive service, supported by our investments in innovation and digital technologies, including AI.”
Lexcom founding partner Alain Hinderyckx adds that: “By fully integrating within PKF BOFIDI Legal, we can continue to guide our clients as they have come to expect from us, while at the same time becoming part of a larger organisation with additional expertise and opportunities. Christophe also notes that the company is open to further integrations with firms that share its vision on quality, entrepreneurship, and sustainable customer relationships.
