EY-Parthenon has promoted one of its Brussels-based M&A intern, Janna Berthels, to a consultant.

Janna Berthels has spent the last year laying a solid foundation for her M&A career as an intern, first at financial advisory firms Moore Belgium and Squarefield, before joining EY-Parthenon in April 2026. Before that, she was a business development intern at Ebury for six months (from January to June 2024).

Now an M&A consultant at the strategy and transactions firm, Janna will build the strategic pillars that support her approach as a dealmaker.

She brings a master’s degrees in finance from Esade, where her thesis focused on Disney’s acquisition of Twenty-First Century Fox and she received the Women in Management Award. She also participated in the Global CFA Research Challenge during her time at the institution.

Janna also holds a master’s degree in business engineering from KU Leuven, where she majored in accounting and financial management, with a thesis on “Subjectivity in Performance Evaluation: Long-term Incentives”.

This early curiosity in complex valuation and financial management, combined with her hands-on transaction experience, positions Janna well to help EY-Parthenon’s deal teams architect long-term value for clients in the Benelux market.
